Photography

We will always need good photographs. We are only really interested in images taken by amateur photographers so please don't be worried that your images are not good enough... every one has a good photograph in them.

We're looking for photographs of Sussex at the moment, or images that people can relate to. Also of interest would be anything bright and vibrant that sticks out or perhaps somewhere international that's easily recognisable.... so if you'd like to show us some images there are a few ways you can do it.

The only thing to avoid really would be images of other people, unless you have the appropriate model release.

Put the images that you are interested in showing on flickr and create a set for them and mail us the link... this is probably the easiest way to do things.

You can mail them to us... we'd prefer that you don't if they are large as it does tend to clog up the mail system. However make sure that you don't mail out originals, if you're getting into photography you shouldn't be doing this anyway, resize to an unprintable resolution and send them over.

Bring them over. I can read most media and love talking to photographers... put them on a USB key or similar and we'll have a look together. I buy the coffee.

If we think that the image is good enough for the wall, what will then happen is that we'll have it printed and framed and put up. Most images we'll carry as a limited run of 25 to 50 images. You always retain full rights to the image.

In addition to this we are also giving the venue over to any one that wants to run an evening exhibition. So if you have 30 or so images and you want a free gallery for the night... let me know... it's yours for the night.
